i have a ten page paper to write on islamophobia... and then i have a 5 pg paper to write on the romantics as psychologists and victorians as sociologists. =/
and then i have a 2 pg essay to write on the buddha of suburbia, and then another 5 pg paper to write on some other book in my brit lit class.

and then i have to do my speech using visual aid (i'm doing it on medicinal teas).... and then i have to write four 2 page evaluations on my speech peers.

Plus study for exams.

i'm going to DIE! really, this semester is killing me.

and my sister could go into labor at any moment. and then i won't have time to write my papers or study... or sleep.

Pobrecita.

my last exam is on wed. and i have a take-home due on thurs... but i'll probably hand that in sooner so i don't waste gas driving over there just to turn that in.

My sisters doctor said that if she doesn't go into labor by next wed, he will induce her!

i've always been too afraid to do that.

and besides, i'm too poor, i don't have the money.

it's a really interesting topic for example:
in a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll, 39 percent of respondents said they felt at least some prejudice towards Muslims, and the same percentage favored a requirement of all Muslims within the U.S. to carry a special I.D as a way of preventing terrorist attacks. About one-third said they believe that U.S Muslims are sympathetic to al-Queda, and 22 percent said they wouldn’t want Muslims as their neighbors... this directly coincides with the amount of people who still believe saddam was behind the 9/11 attacks. lol

The other day one of my professors told us about a news story about a Muslim that just got into some sort of government position. Sorry, I can't remember what it was exactly, but when it came time for him to be sworn in he wanted to swear on the Qu'ran and I guess a lot of people are pitching a fit, saying it's "un-American" to not swear on the bible and whatnot. :erm: Since when was this a Christian country.

Sorry. But it's true. People can have whatever faith they want, but to think that it's "un-American" to not swear on the bible is ridiculous and a total infringement on the separation of church and state.

There's usually a distinction that's surprisingly never made. I too loathe Islam just I would any religion, but islamophobia itself is more of a racial prejudice than one of religion. It's a convenient way to put all dark middle eastern ethnicites under one umbrella.

from now until wednesday, i have no papers due. and three exams to study for. one of which is statistics (what a joke that class is).

and i just learned today that I don't have to take the final I was supposed to have next Friday. meaning I am done on Wednesday.

I love college.

I just finished what turned out to be a 35 page paper for my Personality Theory class about an hour ago. It probably sucks but I'm handing it in anyway.

no my guess is that most universities these days focus much more on teaching about the persecution of islamics and completely ignore islamofascists, or instead try and explain islamofascism as some sort of result of american action and that it's all deserved

oh and for the record kimmy, I may be "an idiot" but I think swearing on a Bible in a courtroom is stupid. Maybe it made sense to puritanical America where entire villages were of the same religion, but it is an outmoded and outdated tradition
