Poll 2: Who won't be Ted?
 

that was a close one! Nimrod's Son was eliminated. this poll will be open for 24 hours. i'm going to be out of town this weekend, back on sunday. if its possible to make a saturday poll, i will, but if not, i thank you in advance for your understanding.

I'm pretty certain that mxzombie won't be Ted so I'll just vote now instead of waiting till later

i was suprised Dead got so many votes in the first poll, i think Dead --> Ted would be great.

however this turns out, its gonna be good.

there's too much hostility towards Dead for him to ever truly be Ted

Obviously we all have different interpretations of what qualities Ted should possess, but for me, Ted is someone I respect and have either an amicable or unfamiliar relationship with.

anyway, I'm only talking about the ideal Ted. If we strive for anythign less we're just leaving this whole thing open to problems laterr on

did you not see the original thread where we generated the candidates? im not sure if people agreed or not, but i said i felt strongly that certain posters who've been around are too longstanding and majestic to simply be renamed. that's why i don't like wally as a candidate, or mxzombie.

everyone can decide waht they like, those are just my views on the topic. but renaming someone isn't something to be done lightly, and it just doesn't seem right to rename most people who've been here for years. to rename devious j would be sacrilege.

fuck, i don't know. everyone vote as you please. my thought was that you don't just go and rename someone who's been here a long time (dead being an exception in my mind).

And you hide the dead while my friends head to die in your name.

i think the well-liked thing misses the mark. posters like DeviousJ and wHATcOLOR and mxzombie are the big hitters and quarterbacks. Ted will be like the mascot. or i don't know, i'm not really into sports.

no, i don't think we should. it seems to me that we all vote however we'd like, without necessarily even trying to agree upon those methods or criteria, and the person standing at the end defines what it is to be netphoria's Ted..

well, to me it's just something that comes with the name

I can't imagine a world where Ted isn't something that's respected

names like that are reserved for people called things like Simon and Lloyd

what happens if after a month, the general consensus is one of vast disappointment in what Ted ended up being like?
