I'm fucking happy that they have all this lo-fi live shit up that sounds totally imperfect-- corgan lately has given too much of the impression that his music should be absolutely perfect and over-produced. Let's hope this carries on into the new album.

Hello Kitty Kat is one of my favorite songs. It would be pretty cool to hear some songs from PI live during the reunion.
|
This could all be hinting at the direction they are taking with the new album. Even still, it is good to see activity on a page hat was barren and crusty just a month ago.

songs on myspace changed again! go check!!!
|
umm no they didn't

im kind of liking this whole "rotating catalog" idea they have going on but i really wish they'd let the songs be downloaded right from the player.
and maybe post some videos that we've never seen before or at least don't steal one someone else posted on youtube like a year ago |

It is refreshing to hear earnest, trashy live preformances in contrast to the cold, stiff shit we've been hearing the last 6 years since the band broke up. |

i'm happy
and i'm looking forward to being geeky again...it's been far too long |
C'mon reminds me of some early seattle grunge
|
C'mon reminds me of Black Sabbath et al.
One of my favourite early SP tunes, like it even maybe more than most of Gish. |
I started recording all the songs from the myspace page to make a playlist of all the songs that were put up there.. for how ever long this continues. Might be cool to look back on sometime and remember the "myspace era" or whatever. I am recording them on the fly, by playing them in myspace, directly to my computer. I realise this is ghetto, but whatever. Its fun to be bootleg sometimes.
Anywho, i didnt get the idea to do this untill i realized the songs were changing daily, and didnt figure out a way to do it untill the 3rd day. So i have already got recordings of Jellybelly, C'mon, and Hummer... and from cool people on this thread have figured out where to get identical versions of Set the ray to jerry and Raindrops.. but now that they have changed i have nothing to compair to, and cant remember how the other four sounded to figure out what recording they were. Did anyone take note to these? thanks for the help. Bury Me - ? Set the Ray to Jerry - 10/19/1997 recording.. thanks! Daughter - ? Hello Kitty Kat - ? Disco King - ? Raindrops and Sunshowers - 5/9/2000 recording.. thanks! Any info help would be much appreciated! i would be glad to share my recordings with anyone if they want them. |

Thanks for the info redbull. you are definatly right about daughter and hello kitty kat, you sure about disco king? i could have sworn that it sounded different than the faeomm recording when it was on myspace.. but perhaps i am just an idiot and am remembering incorrectly. Ill take your word for it. Anybody know about Bury Me for sure?? |
Billy & JC should put the vid for "What if the guy from The Smashing Pumpkins lost his car keys."
|
"Glass' Theme" is up now...
|
For me now it's Bodies, Vanity and C'mon.
|
There's a demo version of "Obscured" up that I've never heard...
With Vanity (BC Solo Acoustic) and bodies (which doesn't seem to connect) |
Someone posted a comment either on Jimmy's blog or the main one asking for Bodies to go up there. That may be why it was there. Don't asl me how I know, I just wanted to see the people posting comments.

Obscured is from this: http://www.spfc.org/tours/date.html?tour_id=76
|
so so happy to see bodies up :)
|
That's fucking cool how they keep changing songs, and not going for the obvious ones either.
