i've already concluded that ropey is a little cunt, but this strengthens my conviction.

i think it has a lot to do with him essentially being as old as dead, as sad as dead and having the same tastes as dead. he's not as ginger as dead but he's a lot more assertive (in a really pathetic way) and on the internet that's probably more annoying.

i can redily admit to caring about rep in an indirect way, other peoples reuputation. i thought it was apparent that i was talking about not caring about getting negative reputation myself. trotskillicious mentioned that i care about my own rep, posting a qoute where i mention how much reputation i've got during the last three weeks. this is not proof, since another possibility is that i care about positive feedback from the people i like on the board, and i wont know about that positive feedback unless i check the comments. to know if new comments has arrived, i check my rep bar.
