Florida has the most impressive 3 wins so far this year.

They beat 3 teams who will go to bowls. No one else can say that. And you don't just go in to Knoxville and win. It's not that easy.

As for BC, they have 3 respectable wins as well. You guys lost ot OSU and beat the Blind Mutes and Nothern Eastern Southern Directional School.

Fla barely sqeaked out this week over a team that barely squeaked out against a shitty team last week. They also struggled mightily in the first half of their first game against a shitty team. Florida would lose right now to LSU or Auburn, probably USC and OSU as well.

No comment on BC, I'm tired of talking about how mediocre they are.

I didn't comment on Texas so I don't know why you're bringing that up, but I think they still belong in the top 10.

coffee spoon 09-17-2006 12:39 AM

and bc will likely be around 19 when the polls come out. wow, i'm a whole 4 spots off.

at this moment, I would take florida over anyone.

not only should Auburn be #1, you didnt even ******* them. better fix that shit.

Trotskilicious 09-19-2006 10:03 AM

I would, but I don't think there are enough people taking this thing seriously. Penn State #1 doesn't count. Texas #1 doesn't count, neither does Minnesota at #2. I think there are less than eight serious ballots at this point.

Screw you! Morelli, McCoy and Cupito are GODS among boys!

:noway:  :smoke:

Trotskilicious 09-19-2006 10:26 AM

Tchocky, do you seriously believe that not having Brohm is going to even slow down Louisville? They've had pro prospect quarterbacks every year since Dave Rangone, whoever is playing for Brohm will be able to run that offense just as well.

Tchocky 09-19-2006 10:35 AM

Alls I knows is, Brohm was special. I don't know much about his backup...so I could be wrong, I dunno. We'll see in a week.

Tchocky 09-19-2006 10:36 AM

And Florida will likely start going down once they go up gainst the elite of the SEC.

Tennessee says hello.

And Lousville missing the QB won't hurt them a bit until they play West Virginia, and he'll be back in ample time for that.

Miami was their only hurdle before WV. Well, should have been - turns out Miami might be a low-tier C-USA team this season.

Trotskilicious 09-19-2006 11:18 AM

I think you guys are giving up on Miami awfuly quickly. Low tier CUSA? Come on spunk, give me a fucking break. You should at least act like you know what you're talking about. Ole Miss beat one of their top teir teams two weeks ago.

Boner 09-19-2006 11:24 AM

Kudos to Tchocky for making the bonehead sports point of the week with his take on Florida after winning their second biggest hurdle in the SEC (second to their road date at Auburn which they will lose).

I'm altering spoon's picks a little bit to take better into account JUST what has happened this year and not what happened last year or what is supposed to happen later this year.

1. Florida
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan
4. Auburn
5. USC
6. Louisville
7. Oregon
8. TCU
9. West Virginia
10. Georgia
11. Virginia Tech
12. Boston College Texas
13. Oklahoma
14. Boston College
15. Missouri

Trotskilicious 09-19-2006 11:26 AM

I didn't know there was a Boston College, Texas.
