i'm pretty sure i'm in love

months ago i went to this french restaurant, i think i made a post about it actually. my friends went to get burritos, but i wanted some good food, so i was eating alone at the bar of this place while my friends were elsewhere.

and i had this awesome waitress/bartender, she was a tall redhead and we got on pretty well.

WELL, tonight i randomly saw her at this place i've never been to before. it ended up being this out of control, awesome dance party and she was probably the most fun looking person in the whole place.

i fell in love for sure. love from a distance, but love nonetheless.

*swoon*

Geek USA 09-16-2006 04:08 AM

you didnt go up to her?!

Geek USA 09-16-2006 04:08 AM

I know how you feel. I'm in love with wednesday night will.

i see him almost every wednesday though.

it is love. I love him :(

no -- she got up on this stage and was dancing with everyone -- i just stayed on the flooor with my friends. i'd like to think we made eye contact multiple times, but i am so horrendously inept when it comes to interpreting things like that.

man, she is awesome

i'm debatng going to that restaurant another time, and if she's there i'll say 'hey, have you ever been to the rickshaw?' [name of the place, that is], and i'll say something gay about how i thought that was her i saw there. then i'll realize i'm an idiot.

That's actually a pretty good angle. Just be honest with her, tell her she looked like she was having lots of fun dancing and you wish you could've been with her.

nah.. dont ask if she's ever heard of the place.. just say you saw her there.

i wish i had the guts to talk to my huge crush like that.. aww best of luck, j!!! awwww i think i'm gonna cry.

wHATcOLOR 09-16-2006 04:19 AM

the time i was at the restaurant, i got her in a convo about oysters, and she raved about this one particular place. as i was leaving, she wrote the name of it on a piece of paper and gave it to me, i might use that instead.. it's a little less creepy than 'i lurked in the dark and became enamored while watching you rhythmically writhe on a stage in a dark bar'

wHATcOLOR 09-16-2006 04:24 AM

she looks like a naughty, mischievous joanna newsom

Well when you put it like that... Take it from me, a guy who currently has no girlfriend, that any advice from girls about how to pick up girls is far superior than anything guys say. But if she happens to not be the person you saw dancing... just go with "Oh... so that wasn't you. ... ...Look, we should have sex."

NO!!! i will argue to the death that advice from girls is uniformly suspect. the motherfucking fact that reigns supreme here is that there is more often than not a disconnect between what girl THINKS she'd like and respond positively to, and what she actually does respond positively to. this is a fact that i have come to accept, and as time has passed, it has been proven accurate in my experiences multiple times

*takes notes* The dating scene owns me... The only person I should listen to is my mom.

wHATcOLOR 09-16-2006 04:31 AM

dude, EVERYTHIGN my mom has told me about girls i've had to discard. they mean well, mothers, but they really don't arm you for battle appropriately

i totally agree with this, and i really cant understand why it exists. Its similar to the girls who always seem to go with people who treat em like shit. That was a hard 15yr old lesson for me to learn.

i dont think that girl advice from girls is uniformly inccorect, it just doesnt really apply to the simple guy trying to get out and score some chicks...
as a whole chicks will generally tell you to treat a girl with respect and be caring and sensitive and all that shite, but if youre out in clubs thats obviously not gonna be any good, you have to be an asshole shark with an attitude kinda guy.
i think that for for a serious relationship girl advice is generally correct..
