i thought only the pro version of quicktime offered full screen playback, so why the hell would anybody use the standard quicktime as their video player.

Only to watch mpg2 stuff with nvidia's purevideo hardware acceleration. Other than that, media player classic for video, winamp for audio.

Do more recent winamps pick up on WMP tags more often? Because lots of information i added via WMP like track titles and track orders and stuff dont show up in winamp, its often and jumble of unnamed mp3.

WMP makes the pitch shift at the start of songs on my pc. I can live with it if it saves me hours of keyboard crunching.

I use media player classic for video, winamp for random music and musikcube for listening to albums and crap. WMP's kinda big and annoying, or it was last time I saw it

I've been listening to music with it lately because I really like the SRS Wow enhancement plugin and I don't know of any other programs that have this or support it. I first discovered it built into my laptop, improves the sound soooo much. If not for that I would not be using WMP. It doesnt support flac which is a real pain.

i watch videos and play audio on it - i use it for the convenience, its always there for me....plus im ignorant to any other programs that are better

winamp still has some kinks to fix with the video stuff. but i still use it for everything. the library is easier to navigate if you name your files right and keep your id3 tags uniform.
