When I was living on that half of the state I was stationed at Whiteman AFB which is roughly in Warrensburg. However, I lived in Lee's Summit and made the drive daily.

I lived there for a little over 2 years and then I moved to Lake Saint Louis on the other half of the state once i got out of the Air Force.

I got to know the area fairly well (spent a lot of time at Deep Fix Records and around Broadway) and had a few friends that lived on the "safer" half of troost.

oh, i didn't know you were in the air force, i work with two guys that used to be at whiteman. i saw tech n9ne in warrensburg.

i know deep fix. my brother got into a fight there. lol.

I used to do the drum and bass ordering from Syntax for Deep Fix.... I'm pretty good friends with Joey and Pat Nice. Great guys.

Yeah I saw Tech N9ne in warrensburg in like 2001 I wanna say? It was at Afterhours, that upstairs place with nearly zero air conditioning... it was in the winter/spring tho so it was kinda cold but ROASTING in the venue.

Was one of my better memories of KCMO.... taht and athat MASSIVE ice storm in I think 2002 that pretty much shut down all of KCMO and the surrounding area

it shut down our base outside of security forces.... and they had to stand outside in that shit and guard the flightline.... what happened is the flightline has these sensors that run all along the fence and along the top it looks like barbed wire with little sensors on it.... well those things froze completely solid and weighed down the lines snapping them in half and damaging over 2000 sensors on the base

they made all of us stay home and if you were security forces you stood outside with an m16 for 12 hours in a row in that shit

that storm was fucking epic
