Do you put anything special in your ramen?

I tried worsceshireshrierhe sauce, and i dont think it turned out too well.

would garlic salt or beef bullion cubes be any better?

my dad said i could get some canned chicken and drop it in there to cook it with the ramen.

hi, my name is kristin, and i'm addicted to sodium

Karl Connor 09-10-2006 05:52 PM

nah. just the spice

and i usually dont leave it cooking for too long; the noodles become soggy and less tastey

god i'm so sick of ramen though

an egg.

are you putting this stuff in addition to the flavor pack? because that's insane.. well, not the chicken, but the sauces and bullion etc.

anyway, there's these udon noodle packs in the fridge section with the tofu and fake sausage meat and stuff that's 1$ a pack and 5000 million times better than ramen. and healthier to many degrees.
buy that.
although i guess 1$ vs $.1 is a big difference.. but still

kristin xp 09-10-2006 05:59 PM

cool thanx ammy

shannon 09-10-2006 06:00 PM

sometimes i'll put two packets of the spices into one thing of ramen...that's about it

ammy 09-10-2006 06:00 PM

now i want udon. but all we have is ramen..
maybe i'll have a bagel.

i just use the minimal amount of water needed to cook the moodles, i really like the flavor packs. dan hates them and uses half to like 3 cups water.

I boil the ramen, and then quickly strain it in a colander. I then dump the noodles in a bowl while there's still a small amount of residual water and then add the packet.

Lucy Sky Diamonds 09-10-2006 06:45 PM

Sliced mushrooms and green onions. Half of the flavour packet. Makes it almost taste like food and cuts down on the sodium hangover after.

ravenguy2000 09-10-2006 06:51 PM

I used to work with this guy. He would eat a Cup of Noodles on his lunch and then 2 of those big Gatorades during one shift. It was a lot of salt, I did the math one day.

yuk, all of that sounds sick.

Every time I do ramen I add: green onions, baby bok choi, lemon grass, basil, bean sprouts, thin slices of beef or shrimp, a dash of oyster sauce and Huy Fong Spiracha hot chili sauce. and if I have tofu I'll add some of that too.

Ooh, bok choi, that's a good idea. Instead of steaming it and devouring it whole, it could go in ramen to make it seem almost like food.
