what type of application is required to open a .rmvb file?

oh nm, google it there's alot of conversion info and whatnot. try VLC media player.

it opens all kinds of warez which what this is

so apparently it stands for real media variable bitrate or something... and i refuse to install RealPlayer on any machine, so i downloaded Real Alternative which seems to be awesome. it has the Real Media codecs so it can play any of the Real type files, and the interface is like the classic old windows media player before they made it look retarded. sweet!

i miss the old windows media player
