favorite and least favorite foreign accents
 

i really love norwegian accents. and belarussian accents. i knew a girl from belarus. she was very hot and had had abeautiful way of speaking english even though it was her second language.

i would tend to say something like northern england, but that shit tires on me fast. they have a specific cadence when asking questions that makes it sound like a statement. it's interesting for about the first dozen times. then it just gets obnoxious. grammar is always impeccable though.


my least favorite accent has to be mexican, and by mexican i mean pretty much anyone who lives south of texas. they really know how to butcher the language don't they. and it's not only their enunciation, its the total ignorance to subject verb agreement. black people too. "you is what you am", "ain't nothin mo' better". i mean, jesus christ, how much more wrong can you be? japs can never get irregular plurals right either. the other day i got a letter at work from some vietnamese guy...or was the korean. laotian. whatever. some squinty eyed motherfucker. "This product no worky", "Give me lee-fund ol cledit on futule pulchase". I can't stand them. Learn the language or GO HOME!!!!!!

I like Irish and Geordie accents, very sexy.

oh and runner up for least favorite accent goes to jewish americans for that yiddish crap. i mean talk about butchering a language. ibet their talking in some kind of code.

Its gotta be the polish accent for me... and my least favourite has to be South African, i dont understand it.

you mean the black south africans right? because i'm alright with the white ones. especially if they are of german descent.

I like some black American talk; I think a lot of the slang is really lively. Especially some New York black speak. I also like some Jewish speak, too; Yiddish sounds funny. I find South African accents a bit annoying because I just can't get a handle on it -- it sounds like a cross between a couple of other accents and so the sound keeps alternating in my head. It's like an audio equivalent of one of those optical illusion pictures that can be seen in at least two distinct ways. Some Irish accents are nice to listen to. Scottish sounds better on girls than guys, in my opinion. There's something fun about Brooklyn accents (although not if they're too strong). French is often nice, unless it gets annyoing. And Spannish is good to listen to (Spannish accents in English, and also the language itself). I hate Texan accents and certain kinds of strangley pretentious Californian ones.
