Movie advice needed.

I haven't seen ANY of the best picture nominated films so I plan to rectify that tonight. Should I see Goodnight and Good Luck or Capote?

how brokeback

Sepiae 03-05-2006 08:41 PM

You should go with Capote.

skippy 03-05-2006 08:49 PM

Yeah i know Brokeback is a cultural phenomenon and all but eh...i dunno. And Phllip Seymour Hoffman is much cooler than Heath Ledger. I'm leaning towards Capote so far.

I would opt for Goodnight and Good Luck, but that's just me.

pink_ribbon_scars 03-05-2006 09:03 PM

that Capote character is so creepy that i have no desire to watch the movie, but i do love Phllip Seymour Hoffman

having seen none of them myself, i have no suggestion

Munich, Munich, MUNICH, goddamnit!

People get shot and stuff blows up. Good time!

Corganist 03-05-2006 10:09 PM

Either movie would probably be a better choice than Crash. It was a disjointed, overrated piece of crap. Hopefully, the other nominees are a better indication of what passes for a good movie these days.

If it's only between Goodnight and Goodluck or Capote, I definitely recommend the former. Munich is pretty excellent though, great story and, as stated above, lots of shit is blown up.

Ugly 03-05-2006 10:10 PM

Syriana was wayyyyy more disjointed than Crash.

Ugly 03-05-2006 10:13 PM

course it wasn't nominated for best picture so nevermind...

sppunk 03-05-2006 10:27 PM

Good Night is the best film of the year.

Of course, the Oscars won't recognize it because it doesn't pinpoint taboo issues, but fuck them anyway.

Ugly 03-05-2006 10:40 PM

Munich, Munich, Munich! Bang, boom, bang!

Irridescent Fairysex 03-05-2006 11:36 PM

Munich for the priceless Eric Bana's struggling-orgasm face.
