Yes, my awful computer games thread is BACK!

There was a period there where, for whatever reason, I hadn't touched my xbox or played anything on my pc for weeks, I've just got into a few new games now though.

PC:

Shogun: Total War - This is a really cool game, and I'm not usually into god games at all. I loved megalomania (it's still an all-time favourite of mine) but aside from that I barely played any god games apart from a few shots on Black & White. Anyways, I really enjoyed this. The Geisha are an invincible asset and I just liked the gameplay of the whole thing. I conquered all of Japan after a few nights playing (although it was on easy, to get me used to playing such a game again) Definite replay value as well.

Xbox:

Ninja Gaiden: Black - I've not played through too much of this yet. The new staff seems really cool, and there's also been a few extra cut scenes added in. At the moment I'm really just past the first meeting with Doku.

Tenchu: Return from Darkness - I always wanted a tenchu game. I thought they looked amazing, but I never owned one. I finally got this on Saturday and it's the game I'm playing most of late. I just love the way it's all been executed, cause I'm not normally a fan of stealth games either. I am looking forward to playing some more of this tonight. So far I've got the 3 layouts on the first and second level on grand master with rikimaru, and the first level of Ayame as well.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006 - I really just got this for the wife. I ripped Tenchu and NGB to my xbox harddrive and then traded the games in to get him this.

I'm not even sure what you mean, that I ripped it to my hd? I was going on about that ages ago, when I got my xbox. It's one of my best buys ever, there's about 80 xbox games on the hard drive, emulators as well, it plays mp3s, avis etc etc etc

i haven't touched any game in over a month. when i get a day off i might try and finish off halflife two on the x box, i think i'm pretty far through. i want to give it a proper concerted go rather than just an hour or so in an evening though

although, that said, there is an "animal ships" cheat in which ships can take on a more bovine appearance.

PC: Everquest II: Kingdom of Sky (fuck WoW)

RF Online: may be the most innovative MMORPG... but the general rule is if you arent slaying Orcs it wont succeed as an mmorpg

Xbox 360: DOA 4 and Condemmed... both are so-so but I have to justify buying a 360 by playing crap games until morrowind comes out

Cube: Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

SO GODDAMN CLOSE!!! I'm right at the end vs. the Viszer Butterfly dude! This will be the culimination of many, many months as I worked my way through the Prince of Persia saga. Awesome, awesome games. Warrior Within is definitely the hardest, though.

PS2:

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - I like it, but I get stuck on the missions, get frustrated, and walk away from the game for days at a time.

24: the Game - Ok, its not in my greasy, dirty paws yet but it will be. Supposed to be released tomorrow, but I may hunt down a few stores to see if I can score a copy today.

Have to go to the Temple of the Ancients now, at the end of D1. So goddman addictive. Like crack, I tells ya. CRACKKKKK!

There aren't enough video game threads. Here is my story:

I was replaying RE4 a couple months ago for the third time, and when I was done I decided to buy RE0 and Remake, and try to get all the other games online. So I played RE3 for ps1 (on my ps2) it was alright besides the shitty graphics. Then I started Code Veronica and it was alright but I quit playing it when I got Re0 which I finished, it was good. Then I moved on to Remake, it was too hard and frustrating so I decided to skip it for now and play Re2 for cube, which I finished and now I'm doing scenario B in that. Then I'm gonna go back to Remake, and after that I'll finish Code Veronica.

So... NP: Resident Evil 2 scenario b

The last couple weeks I've had the urge to buy a DS but I wouldn't buy the old one when the lite is coming soon.

I got to the butterfly boss dude and I got to the part where you have to climb a bunch of floating crap up to him but I kept getting shot and I got really sick of that so I never finished the game.
Same with this game, I got to the final shootout and got frustrated and never finished it.

Where can I get this game? It's for my friend.

Rome: Total War as always.

Im pleased to see i now have a Total War buddy. Paul we shall meet and drink ale and talk of our campaigns then retire to the bedroom.

I've been playing the shit outa Battlefield 2: Modern Combat(PS2) and BLACK(PS2).

I am still playing Myst IV off an on, and occasionally I will log onto a MUD.

And I hardly ever play and of my video games; when I do it's usually Super Mario Brothers. Oh, and I was never able to beat Sonic's last guy in Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast (ugh worst investment ever) so sometimes I do that.

Perfect Dark Zero (Xbox 360):

I finished the single player campaing very quick. The story was very bad as well as the voice acting, but I thought the gameplay was fun and it has some gorgeous graphics. The multplayer part of the game is much better, specially the DarkOps mode which is more objective-based, a little bit like Counter Strike, it has Infection, Erradication, Sabotage... it's fun.

Geometry Wars (Xbox 360):

Exciting little game, it can be so addictive. I can't get past 150,000 I haven't played it much.

Call of Duty 2 (Xbox 360):

Just incredible, you really feel like you are a part of a war and are not fighting alone, it's very immersive and it's packed with a lot of action. The smoke looks great, everything looks good and it runs at a constant 60fps.

I only have 2 retail games and 1 xbla game, so that's what I've been playing, aside from all the demos in xbox live.
