I am still playing Myst IV off an on, and occasionally I will log onto a MUD.
And I hardly ever play and of my video games; when I do it's usually Super Mario Brothers. Oh, and I was never able to beat Sonic's last guy in Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast (ugh worst investment ever) so sometimes I do that. |
Perfect Dark Zero (Xbox 360):
I finished the single player campaing very quick. The story was very bad as well as the voice acting, but I thought the gameplay was fun and it has some gorgeous graphics. The multplayer part of the game is much better, specially the DarkOps mode which is more objective-based, a little bit like Counter Strike, it has Infection, Erradication, Sabotage... it's fun. Geometry Wars (Xbox 360): Exciting little game, it can be so addictive. I can't get past 150,000 I haven't played it much. Call of Duty 2 (Xbox 360): Just incredible, you really feel like you are a part of a war and are not fighting alone, it's very immersive and it's packed with a lot of action. The smoke looks great, everything looks good and it runs at a constant 60fps. I only have 2 retail games and 1 xbla game, so that's what I've been playing, aside from all the demos in xbox live. |

The very, very end is really interesting, actually. You beat the Viser, and then the Dark Prince turns up. He says, "What is yours is rightfully mine" (the same way that Warrior Within ended, actually) and you get sucked into a battle with him. but he doesn't fight back and you can't kill him. After some very mild platforming elements you defeat the Dark Prince ... by simply walking away from all your rage. Its more like an interactive game ending movie than anything. The very, VERY end has the Prince talking to Farrah and saying the exact same words that opened "The Sands of Time" - "Most people think time is like a river, flowing swift and sure in one direction. But I have seen the face of time, and I can tell you, they are wrong. Time is an ocean in a storm..." If you're a fan of the series, its a pretty killer ending. Tomorrow: Day 2.5 of Jack Bauer Life Begins! (stupid nobody giving me a copy on Monday) |
What really frustrated me was I ran into what is apparently a common glitch at the end of Warrior Within where you can't transport to the final battle. So I played through the entire game for nothing. :(
I may go back to 2 Thrones some time but I doubt it. |

I bought and played "The Indigo Prophecy" for PS2 this weekend. Man, what a waste of money that was. The reviews I read made it seem like it was some interesting new twist on gaming. But it was pretty much just your the same old point and click adventure game format that has been around since the 80s...only with a shittier plot, and frustratingly horrible gameplay. I wished death on the game designers more than once. The game was just not fun. Add that to the fact that I blew through it in less than a day and I'm wishing I'd have saved my money or spent it on a sports game instead.

out tomorrow! I'm getting up at the crack of 11 AM to get it. |
I have been playing nothing but WoW since August-ish. We just bought Super Mario Strikerz last night and I love it. WoW is seriously detrimental to my interpersonal relationships, but whatever-- I almost have my mount!

No way I'm playing WoW. I can see it sucking up my life. They sell Atlases for God's sake! Atlases!! In a good POV spot in stores too. Nuh-huh. Sticking to non-online console gaming for me.
