cleaning out your ears
 

i dunked my head under hot water a few days ago and i think it melted pushed a bunch of wax against my eardrum.

so i used this ear cleaning crap, stuck a wad of cotten in there for about half an hour. and i just flushed it out with a soft bulb syringe.

i didn't even know my ear canal was big enough to hold all that ear wax. jesus christ.

it was a lot.

i've been needing to do this for a while, my ears are full o'wax

I loooove using the soft bulb syringes to flush out my ears :erm:. They feel so clean and fresh afterwards.

i just used what was available in my dad's medicine cabinet. "murine ear drops" is what it's called and it comes with the soft bulb syringe too, i guess. but i'd assume they all pretty much have the same active ingredient, so apples, is apples.

When they're stopped up with wax, yeah.

this is what they tell children so they don't shove sticks or needles or whatever in there

there's no good reason for a responsible adult to avoid inserting all manner of objects in his ears

^ear wax keeps out bacteria. excessive ear wax of course needs to be cleaned out but i dont think that's what vipbrj was refering to. also dont call her a fucking idiot, cause i CAN get you banned, john ******.

whatever you do, be sure not to try any of that ear candling crap. that shit doesn't work and can actually aggravate any issues within your ear canal.

I Q-tip every day. Sometimes twice.

I mean you rarely should need to clean your ears. if you get rid of too much wax you run the risk of getting ear infections... the ear has a natural way of ridding itself of excess ear wax. My mom got a pretty bad ear infection from cleaning out her ears too much.

You're right but when your ear gets stopped up to the point where you can't even hear out of it, you have to clean it out. If you go to the doctor, they suck all of it out of there and give you the cleaning stuff and the soft bulb syringe to clean it out for the next few days...

I was gonna say this, my dad got into them cause they produce so much wax. But eventually he tried burning one without putting it in anybody's ear and it produced the same wax. Total scam!!!

yeah, youre not supposed to clean them out. if you do, go to a professional. i used to work with a guy who was going into audiology or something like that about being an ear specialist.

I almost went deaf when I was 4 because my ears wouldn't drain properly. I constantly got terrible ear infections. I had to get tubes surgically put in my ears, and my parents had to clean out my ears all the time.

yeah, losing your hearing is pretty funny. my dad noticed there was something wrong when I had to put my head right up on the speaker just to hear the music he was listening to.

I tip whenever I wash my face or take a shower. Partly to get the water out. If you aren't a moron you can do it without poking yourself in the brain.
