REELZ Show About SP
The REELZ channel on Sunday next week is debuting their episode of Breaking the Band about SP. It is a cheesy, tabloid, bad casted, low budget show I watch & while watching the NKOTB one this week I saw the promo for the SP one. They show clips of Billy & D'arcy arguing reenactments as the narrative as to why the band broke up . And a pumpkin getting smashed.
My dvr is set. |
Haha, awesome. I can't wait for BC to rage out about it in the instagram q+a

I got interviewed for this, though I don't know what they'll use. I kind of doubt they'll use any of the complimentary things I said about Billy, lol. They tried to bait me into a few things that I avoided.
I won't be watching though, no fucking way I can watch my awkward self on TV! So you guys will have to tell me how much I'm in it. |

I only wish they had the actual band members reenacting it like they used to do on Unsolved Mysteries |

Tried an anonymous proxy to see it in Europe, but didn't work yet. |

They tried to bait me into saying that it was Billy's fault that D'arcy started using drugs but I didn't bite. I don't know if I even used the word 'drugs' specifically when talking about her because I didn't want it twisted. I basically said that after dealing with some issues she overcame it, according to what she said during the interview.
I basically talked about a lot of the stuff D'arcy said in the interview with me and how it came about, I talked a bit about the band's early days and history from a fan's perspective. I said some historical things that happened I guess as a talking head, like how Jimmy was fired after Melvoin's death and came back etc. They didn't ask me at all about the 2000's era post break up, so I kind of summed it all up in 4-5 minutes. I said that I thought Billy was the best songwriter of his generation. They probably talked to me for about an hour. Felt kind of anxious doing it, hopefully they don't cut it up to make me seem like some Billy hater, though I'm sure if he's told about the show that'll be the narrative. |

I then summed up 2000-2016 in a 4-5 minute monologue since they didn't ask any questions about it really, outside of one thing about the 2005 announcement I think. Then we talked about the interview I did with D'arcy, and her take on why negotiations with Billy fell apart. At the end I called Billy the best songwriter of his generation. I think they'll mainly use the Billy vs. D'arcy stuff from me. I'd never done an on camera interview, felt kind of weird, especially since I was talking about other people, I wanted to stick to things they have all said when talking about personal things, and then when it came to the music I came at it from a fan's perspective. They tried to ask for the uncut 4 hours of audio from my interview with D'arcy, which I rejected. |
