I checked into this for working at the Canadian border. Drug test for sure, lie detector...not so sure.

AZ is pretty cool. At least the tempe area is (near ASU).

Lie detector test is a requirement to get into police academy (in Iowa, anyway), so I assume a federal law enforcement job would have at least as much.

edit: The requirements say that one has to be able to pass it, whether or not they actually give everyone the test, I don't know. Maybe it's just a threat to discourage undesirables.
