If I knew whom to bribe with food stamps to enable me to post in rolling script I would thenceforth post only in the aforementioned rolling script.

Just saw he played Stellar the other night. That's kinda cool.
|
Maybe he'll rerecord it acoustic!!! So stoked!
|
I am a little jealous of anyone who gets to see Stellar, will admit. I'd say the same thing for Ma Belle except for some reason it's never been done live once. Damn shame.

Decided to go all the way on these shows since I live in California and hit all 4 of the LA shows. My plan was to buy tickets to nights 1-3, and if there was a new setlist on night three, then to buy for the fourth night too.
Yeah, I know - lots of Ogilala - which is actually growing on me big time - but with him saying that there would be no overlap from night to night in the cities where there were multiple gigs, I was sold. Night one on Thursday was the same setlist from the rest of the tour. Same goes for last night. But tonight? Had heard via Linda Strawberry last night that it was going to be all new. After "Archer" each night, he explains that he's going to take a little intermission, then come back out and play oldies, and makes fun of people who want to hear that stuff a little bit. Tonight he said he was going to perform an "experiment" and that he would be doing a chronological exploration of the first five SP albums. So... yeah, that led to quite the buzz in the room during that 20 minute intermission. Then he came back out and played the setlist below - no joke. It was freaking awesome. The SP feels were there, guys. Crowd was going apeshit.

that five-album set is pretty sweet tho
it's cool he started pulling such drastically different second sets for this tour |

[before Purr Snickety]
Billy: "I never really listened to country music until James Iha started playing country music...so we blame James for this one." |

i never thought of Purr as a country song, but i guess that adds up
always mostly considered it as a "sister track" of sorts to Soothe & Stumbleine |
wound is such a good fucking song and it really comes out in this context. he hid those amazing lyrics under ridiculous whine and shitty production
|
anyone remember when machina leaked and people thought it was "dna is regenomed" or other made up scientific terms for what billy was saying and it turned out to be "reaching out" lol.
|
Waat?
I love wound whine and all. |
Fucking shit you lucky fucks who got to see that show.
Sonofabitch, that's some good Machina presence |
