2019

1994

1998 (short dated added concert?)

2003 (Zwan)

2007

I hate festival concerts, esp. huge gigs like Rock am Ring / Rock im Park. A German website claimed, these two shows will be the only two shows as SP in Germany for 2019.

a radical left band, what is this world coming to? I wish every band had normal, constructive ideas.

Like Burzum.

They only make festival gigs in Europe. To reach the masses...

Billy found no promoters there to book them for 10k-venues...

You can stay home and watch them on TV live.

Let's hope for a right wing band too. To make the festival more vivid...

Mals Marola 11-19-2018 02:23 PM

just get the guy who made this track, that's representation enough

Zer0 Hour 11-19-2018 02:41 PM

LOL @ the Pumpkins getting lower billing than Slipknot.

New Art Rioter 11-19-2018 02:59 PM

Slipknot are still massive and have a young fanbase though right?

pavementtune 11-19-2018 03:00 PM

those aren't the final Rock am Ring posters, Smashing Pumpkins was only announced today as surprise addition, I doubt it that they will appear lower on the line-up than Slipknot.

pavementtune 11-19-2018 03:06 PM

or not, fucking hell, Download fest put them into the second line under Slipknot already. you gotta be kidding me

that reminds me. this morning i was board so i watched some varg vikernes videos. the first one was funny because he talked about driving over (yes OVER) a roundabout in france.

but then the second started and he was talking about satanism in second wave black metal. he mentioned anton lavey, but called him anton LEVI. then he stops, raises his eyebrows significantly and points out that the dude changed his name from levi to lavey because he used to be a [ethnic slur].

i turned that shit off on the spot. serves me right for watching that madman's bullshit.

FoolofaTook 11-19-2018 03:11 PM

why are you guys surprised tsp is lower than slipknot? who the fuck would listen to this band if it wasn't for the old glory days?

Actually that is not true. It was announced as their only two *festival* shows in Germany. Usually this wording is used on purpose. I guess there's more coming.

yeah even as someone who likes a handful of SP2, i'd be more surprised if it was the other way around

maybe in '08

houseofglass11 11-19-2018 03:34 PM

Interesting that the OP thought Ed Sheeran was worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as the Cure and Tool

New Art Rioter 11-19-2018 03:34 PM

Not even in 08 would they be billed above Slipknot at festivals like Download.

Mals Marola 11-19-2018 03:35 PM

i meant 1908

my bad, I haven't heard Slipknot even mentioned in 10 years. which is apparently only due to my age group and taste in music and not their popularity. and even back then I only heard them mentioned as joke.

FoolofaTook 11-19-2018 04:10 PM

if slipknot is a joke then tsp is one of fOAt's failed jokes

Rocket Launcher 11-19-2018 06:41 PM

TOOL is the headliner even in Italy before the Smashing Pumpkins:

off. but i doubt that, first time wasn't that great. i don't think billy can stomach being relatively unknown in poland.

Forgotten Child 11-19-2018 07:28 PM

Unless they are playing the Forbidden Fruit in Ireland, I can't see them playing here at all. Electric Picnic takes place in September... God, I hate festivals.
