i like it. it reminds me of their machina era band pictures. but i do wish they'd go for the more contemporary / normal look of the siamese dream era, though.

Why does Jeff always look so out of place in these photos?

It's weird, because despite the hate he gets, I actually thought he played off the other members really well in the show I saw. He's usually talented, but boring. But he seems to have really filled out the sound and complimented the other guitarists on this tour. And I feel bad that he pretty much only gets shit on for not being an original member.

Also, these images make me miss Wretzky even more. Maybe because her absence is made more obvious by a Pumpkins photo that is obviously a throwback to the dirty-glam "Bullet" video look.

I have no idea if she's in the shape for a tour or not, but at least reach out to her for the time the spend in the studio recording and writing shit, so she can contribute, even if only with her taste-curating abilities, which even Corgan has praised. She wouldn't have allowed "Solara" to get out the door.

And, gee, I even feel bad for Fiorentino and Byrne. Getting pumped and dumped like that, despite their service to Corgan. Even if Byrne never matched Chamberlin, it would have been nice for them to have come out on the tour for a few songs as an acknowledgement to the fact that they were part of the band for some time, and should be part of the celebration of their history. They were, at the very least, good and loyal employees, and Fiorentino was probably the best bassist the band's ever had as a regular member.

Like, imagine being fired for practically no reason other than the frontman taking out his frustrations of not achieving the success he wants on those around him ("discarding his friends to change the scenery," I suppose), only to see the band going on a big, bombastic, well-reviewe tour without you. Maybe I'm overly sentimental, but I feel like these guys deserve a medal for dealing with Corgan so long, while also being shit on my fans for not being the members who were around when the band was good, even though the band being bad was Corgan's fault, and not theirs.
