Rogan won't you mourn with me

Insight_Scoop 11-10-2017 08:43 PM

Wow that’s a good one. Everyone should at least check out the part about 25 minutes in where he talks about his artistic missteps. I don’t know exactly what era he’s referring to, but I imagine it’s gotta he TBK through monuments.

FoolofaTook 11-10-2017 09:10 PM

Ok let me get on that.

FoolofaTook 11-10-2017 09:10 PM

short segment of the interview

The Omega Concern 11-10-2017 10:14 PM

sorry about the duplicate amoergosum. Rogan is a solid interviewer and Billy is generally a good interview. Should be pretty good.

Bremang 11-10-2017 10:22 PM

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this interview on Netphoria. Millions of people watch and download JRE. Watching Joe and Billy together is pretty bizarre.

FlamingGlobes 11-10-2017 10:24 PM

I like Newsradio.

The Omega Concern 11-10-2017 10:37 PM

I like Rogan's spinning back kick. dude is still lethal to this day.

The Omega Concern 11-10-2017 11:05 PM

yeah yeah...once upon a :netphoria time we used to be able to delete the threads we started, back when the internets was more free.

FoolofaTook 11-10-2017 11:58 PM

I skipped ahead and... what the hell are are you talking about?

I'm 20 minutes in an this interview is great so far. Joe is so much better than Howard Stern. It's actually an intelligent conversation.

amoergosum 11-11-2017 06:16 AM

Billy [at 10:02]:

"My father was a drug dealing, gun toting musician / madman."

"When I was a kid...my father was a musician so...I remember I used to like...I wasn't allowed to touch his guitars but I was allowed to look at them. So I remember one day I was walking past the bedroom and I saw a guitar case under the bed and I was like 'oh, I wonder what that is...did he get a new guitar'...so I went...slipped the thing out and I flipped open...and it was a sawed-off shotgun in a guitar case....just laying there in the house...or, you know...I'd go open something and it would be like 10 pounds of weed. That was the world I grew up in."

"My Dad got arrested a bunch of times."

"My Dad says he has been shot at nine times...stabbed two or three times."

Has there ever been posted some stuff of BILLY's dad WILLIAM CORGAN Sr. playing live as a tour musician of CHAKA KHAN?

I guess it must have been mostly after the split of her band RUFUS in the early eighties.
A concert from 1985, at the height of her solo career:

CHAKA KHAN was born Yvette Marie Stevens, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois.

Brisk 11-11-2017 01:15 PM

All I can say that Billy got really fat

FoolofaTook 11-11-2017 01:37 PM

For the most part, this is the most likable Billy has come across in a long while.

Bc Told some fun stories but this was pretty boring. BC steamrolled joe for the most part. Man, BC surely loves talking about the industry. Good for him but once you wind him up it's over. I think Joe only asked a handful of questions. The rest was BC blabbing.

Fun to watch. He's a good dude. We get it.

SP back on tour next year he says, if he doesn't fuck things up. I appreciate his newfound humility.
