If you could see one song performed live, which would it be?

You can go back in time, you can see ONE song performed live by whichever lineup you prefer (read: Billy/James/Jimmy/D'arcy). Which would it be?

I'd say Hummer @ Pinkpop 94, Cherub Rock @ Metro 8/14/93, Ruby @ Brixton, or Silverfuck on 7/10/96

thankfully I caught a bunch of songs I love live, basically all favorites but one. Never thought about it like dang, if I were there when they played it live that one time, it's more that I kept going to shows hoping I would hear it.

this one

played live only once, and the recording is bad quality. just Corgan and Iha, February 2000 in a small club in Carrboro, NC. If I end up going to another Corgan gig in the future, it will be because I still haven't given up on getting to hear this.

I got to see that, but I didn't get to see them during the siamese dream era (they came thru with lollapalooza but no dice with parents) so silverfuck jackboot from vieuphoria, which is in my personal top 5 performances by anyone ever. Not best ever, just personal ever :D

FoolofaTook 05-07-2017 07:59 AM

Shouldn't you be in jail?

inkless 05-07-2017 08:19 AM

What concert video has the best quality for silverfuck 96 With jimmy ?

Grox 05-07-2017 11:34 PM

Ruby 96-97

lawson 05-07-2017 11:44 PM

good question inkless... silverfuck was so fun as a tape trader back then because each one really was different. But a 2 min youtube search doesnt turn up a professionally shot version from 96-97. Surely there is one

Ram27 05-07-2017 11:51 PM

Brixton, but it only has the first 7 minutes (up to 'i feel no pain' and cutting before space jam)

bright_doom 05-07-2017 11:52 PM

I guess seeing Billy play Stumbleine for the first time at a double door show would have been pretty special. Or Blank Page from this http://www.spfc.org/tours/date.html?tour_id=691
From the Kissed Alive Too cd from the Adore reissue. In fact, I would have loved to have been there for that whole show...

Ram27 05-07-2017 11:57 PM

The audience video from that show isn't terrible quality either

The Philly shows are also pretty good. First one doesn't have sound but second one does

Nice quality. I guess they were shot on film originally. Imagine an HD transfer of the film synced with the band's soundboard...
