It basically takes a depressing person , to be depressing. Basically.

Mooney 05-18-2014 11:29 PM

Not sure about that. I'm pretty angry. See when you're depressed and failing at life, and you get older, you get angrier. I suspect ill be terribly mad by the time i reach 60. But a heart attack will probably get me before then because of all this anger.

reprise85 05-19-2014 10:47 AM

might look that way at a cursory glance but i think you're projecting.

The exploding boy 05-19-2014 10:50 AM

I do think this place is depressing after like two weeks back. I don't know if it's the background color but even back in the days i thought this was a pretty depressing place. It's not the kind of forum i'd hang out on if i was mentally sound.

Trotskilicious 05-19-2014 03:09 PM

Hey bards i know youre never gonna post in this thread again but we'd all really appreciate if you came back here and gloated about how wonderful you life is and remind all the sad sacks that happiness is a choice

I hate self help platitudes. Especially in relation to the business community, which likes to expouse that nonsense. I've sat through countless business seminars over the years that could all be summed up by one or two lame self help statements. They all boil down to a perspective that sees happiness, success, failure and misery as simple choices. IE. if you're happy and rich you must have earned it. If you're miserable and poor you must deserve it.

scottytheoneand 05-19-2014 05:35 PM

when I'm depressed I tend to spend a lot of time looking at horribly negative instagram and tumblr sites. I don't know why but when I'm being self destructive I feel the need to reinforce it.

that's true, but despite that it manages to not be depressing to read. imo.

So far they found bones of several titanosaurs, but not a single head. Where are they?
