Piss Against The Machine

Quote:

On Thursday at the Rockville Festival at the Daytona International Speedway, a fan climbed onto the stage during Brass Against's rocking cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Wake Up." After singer Sophia Urista instructed the fellow to lie down on the ground, she peeled down her pants and urinated on the man's face. It seems he was wearing a camera strapped to his head but she kindly encouraged him to remove it before the flow commenced. Judging from the video evidence, the fan seemed quite pleased with the special attention. Still, Brass Against issued a perfect apology on Twitter:

don't knock it til you've tried it

MyOneAndOnly 11-14-2021 06:32 PM

so this is a band called Brass Against. Which is like 10 guys with horns and a woman singer that cover Rage and other 90s bands. What does urinating on someone on stage have to do with inspiring social change?

Quote:

Brass Against is a collective group of musicians who share the goal of creating music to inspire social and personal change. The band curates songs from a variety of influences from Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, Run the Jewels as well as their own compositions in a heavy brass filled symphony.

Brass Against has toured extensively throughout the world playing shows and festivals and have shared the stage with Tool, Prophets of Rage, Lenny Kravitz, Living Colour, Royal Blood, Mike D (Beastie Boys), Ben Harper and more.

topleybird 11-15-2021 12:47 PM

I understand she was shouting things like "This is what it's like under late-stage capitalism" and "This is what your landlord is doing to you every day" while pissing but there was an unfortunate short in the mic

do you have some kind of problem with Rage Against The Machine?

ilikeplanets 11-15-2021 01:43 PM

I have a problem with cover bands

reprise85 11-15-2021 02:24 PM

I honestly love their apology, too. No BS or theatrics, just a whoops got carried away, thanks for being awesome enough to deal with it.

This is the most disgraceful form of discrimination.
