Weather appreciation thread
Here in Indiana, after months of blazing sunshine and cloudless skies, today's been a lovely, cloudy day, with a breeze that hints at a chilly autumn. And it's only the fourth of August. The house smells like coffee and winter and sweaters.

That sounds amazing. I miss weather. I am really looking forward to moving back to a place with seasons

I don't appreciate weather, everyone would be better off with no weather.

Is a drought a weather event? That's not the kind I want

Seasonality
Drought is a weather/climatic event. |
I think you know what I mean

It's 55 today in Denver the first week of August.
Right now my old zip code in Florida has a heat index of 106 |

Today will be the coolest day of the week with a high of 90 degrees. I think I'll walk the dogs
|
Depending on the humidity that isn't too bad. It's been delightfully cool in NJ. Mid 80s max and fairly dry until recently when it rained. But I welcome the rain and petrichor smells

When the rocks are warm but the rain is cool

It wasn't too bad. Like Reprise said, 90 feels pretty good when you're adjusted to 100 plus. It smelled like grass and flowers. Also, I found an owl pellet

Seems like this owl ate another bird. There were lots of feathers and the bones seem very light. Best part are these intact phalanges. http://i.imgur.com/jFeJ8f8.jpg?1 The number and size of the claws also seems to support my bird hypothesis. You can see where the claw hooks into the phalanx. Wish there was a cool bird skull in there too |
what's ur favorite cloud

Seems like the piece all the way to the left in the first picture might be one of these:
