PHILLY FUCK YES

I was there the night they broke up, and they did coke off each other's guitars. Crazy stuff.

SlingeroGuitaro 04-03-2008 01:27 PM

ive played with them a lot. theyve been playing shows for a while now.

they are fucking retards in person

sppunk 04-03-2008 01:36 PM

Yeah, they're tools but Rubberneck was 1994's best album. They used to play in Nac all the time.

Shapan 04-03-2008 01:41 PM

man rubberneck is so good, if the new record is close to that then that'll be awesome

JHeibel 04-03-2008 01:44 PM

Their follow-up to Rubberneck is pretty good. It's no Rubberneck, but it still brings the rock.

There's also their unreleased album "Feeler" - http://www.xtrmntr.com/toadies/feeler

sppunk 04-03-2008 01:46 PM

Hell Below Stars Above is OK, I wouldn't call it pretty good.

JHeibel 04-03-2008 01:47 PM

It's a grower, but I still call it pretty good.

SlingeroGuitaro 04-03-2008 01:49 PM

jesus, that shit came out in 94? what the....

Skradgee 04-03-2008 01:49 PM

Yes!! Who plans on going to the Cambridge show? I'll be there.

JHeibel 04-04-2008 11:17 AM

They just have an odd sense of humor. I never found them to be douchies.

Fort Worth is SOLD OUT.

sppunk 04-04-2008 01:16 PM

Not surprised at all - interesting they're playing Philly. I doubt it'll be too popular but I should pick up tickets beforehand just in case.

sppunk 04-04-2008 01:23 PM

Let's kick it up a notch: Toadies at Stubbs (too many fucking great memories there)

JHeibel 04-04-2008 01:26 PM

No kidding. They put on a great show at Stubbs last year.

Caine Walker 04-04-2008 01:30 PM

DOOOOO YOU WANNA DIIIIIIIIEE?

Fattening Ass 04-04-2008 02:21 PM

im listening to the unreleased "feeler" and i can def say it needs a bit of work, but some songs do show a small change in direction/sound

PkPhuoko 04-04-2008 10:57 PM

Spaceboy88 04-05-2008 02:14 PM

I'm surprised they're playing Bowery. I wonder how tickets will sell.

The further you go outside Dallas/Tarrant county the less people know/care about the Toadies. But they're up there with Pantera as hometown gods here in DFW.

SlingeroGuitaro 04-05-2008 11:00 PM

and sadly, people in austin try claiming them as an austin band. same as los lonely boys

JHeibel 04-07-2008 02:20 PM

New York is SOLD OUT.

sppunk 04-07-2008 02:36 PM

I hate them.

Caine Walker 04-07-2008 03:03 PM

jeeeeezus. what was the breakdown of the fees, just out of curiosity?

sppunk 04-07-2008 03:10 PM

Well, $2 are coded 'facility charge'

Facility charge $1 x 2
Convenience charge $5.90 x 2
Order processing fee $3.50

pale blue eyes 04-07-2008 03:22 PM

Eh, I'll probably pick up a ticket to Philly this week. It's a Saturday night so it's not like I have an excuse not to go.

sppunk 04-07-2008 03:23 PM

Good! We can immediately seek sanctuary in the balcony.

pbe, are you going to the REM/Modest Mouse show?

pale blue eyes 04-07-2008 03:28 PM

For real, I don't need to be down in the sweaty masses.

Yep, you?
