Stumbled across this strange quote

Just something to think about.

Everyone knows Lorde is 100 years old

she's praising the songs on MCIS for being ahead of their time, not Lorde for sounding like SP (or SP sounding like Lorde as you RSPF are reading it)

grimes and lorde are both pretty terrible

I'm not terribly into the music but I'm totally supportive of how she manages her live sounds all by herself with just a synth, a sampler, and a mixer.

As a gearhead it's just a joy to watch live. Total DIY. No computers.

also want to supplement my above post by mentioning that I haven't seen her live since circa 2012 on the visions album. have no idea what she's doing now.

anyone find it strange how most bands in the 90s would tour with a keyboard player but would keep it kind of a secret so they wouldn't be lumped into some sort of keyboard scene

It's funny because from SD and onward there is practically more synthetic shit going on than say a Grimes album

Radiohead are that autistic kid in the back of the class that barely seems autistic. Nine Inch Nails is the quiet kid that makes cool art but then comes to school with a gun and mows everyone down.

Candlebox is the really poor, smelly kid who shows up first day of school in hand-me downs and wearing shoes from Goodwill.

Lush is that really hot chick everyone wants to fuck but never gets to. She disappears after high school and we never see or hear from her ever again.

Korn is that kid that always gets picked on and beat up. You think he'll outgrow it and become a success story, but he never does.
