Plume

Plume's fuzzy guitar sound is so good. Plus, it has one of Billy's favorite lyrics: "My boredom has outshined the sun." As for the remaster, I'm thankful that I have the original.

FoolofaTook 06-12-2017 07:06 PM

I'm thankful that I've had your mother

Butt Pope 06-12-2017 09:52 PM

It's a very 90s song. Kids today wouldn't write it as waiting for their dad at the airport would be a time of Snapchat filters and sexting hotties

ohnoitsbonnie 06-12-2017 11:14 PM

It's a p good bon iver song

Gooch 06-13-2017 12:13 AM

Plums are high in fibre. I appreciate fibre, I'll tell you that.

qwerty sp 06-13-2017 03:02 AM

Do newer CDs of PI still contain the different / missing vocals, or was that only fixed in the digital download?

FoolofaTook 06-15-2017 07:05 PM

Lentils are high in fibre too. And their yummy. totes relate to poor esau.

Gooch 06-19-2017 10:42 PM

teh b0lly!!1 06-20-2017 02:26 PM

wait a minute

wasn't the Plume on the reissues actually an alt take?

or at least an alt vocal take. i seem to remember something like that. if not, what makes the mastering on it so awful that it draws a concensus out of everybody like that? i would rather not listen to it.

dreams of glass 07-01-2017 02:15 AM

definitely in my top 15 SP songs

FoolofaTook 07-04-2017 07:14 PM

Plume is good. Pisces is awesome.

It was a shittier alt vocal take. They 'fixed' it by cranking up the volume on the original and sending that out as a replacement if I remember right.

There were also audio glitches in quite a few places throughout the whole thing, and the bonus disc was mastered painfully loud (but had a good tracklist for anyone not already acquainted with SP's off-album material), courtesy Howie Weinerberg.

Also Frail & Bedazzled was apparently too fast on the original and the reissue has the correct speed. Doesn't matter, I never listen to anything but the original anyway.

it's amazing seeing the little moments before and after the song in this video. more interesting than the song itself.

billy has so much passive aggression going on. "this is Nicole, guys. thank you Nicole, now I finally don't have to play the bass anymore".

says Nicole: ".....you're welcome". lol

then when the song's done, Billster's like "you know, the one small thing that's BETTER in playing tiny rooms like this is, is that it sounds more like the original songs. that's how they were written, in rooms just like this one"

:erm:
