420 And I'm sober as a scaramouch of platypus.
 |
Now you know how the rest of us feel... all the time

What healthy and full of energy?

And also sluggish, tired, discouraged and perturbed |
Bored and depressed. That's what sucks the most about being sober for me. Oh and aware.
:( |
Nice mane there buddy!

I visited the cat-infused café that I believe Shallowed once mentioned.
He was locked in on that expression for a solid ten minutes. |
That picture is ameowzing.
|
That pun physically hurt me
|
Glad to be of service.

That's what she said!!!
|
They didn't have catnip when I was there...
|
That is not what she said.

We walked up Mt Faber last weekend, close to where we live. When I took the picture I left the ugly crap in the foreground for scale. I would have used something nicer to look at but that would have required me to stand up and move somewhere else and I was already slumped in a heap where I sat, losing litres of liquid through my skin
It really looks like a lego village from up there, sort of surreal for someone from a tiny country, like me. |
windows with people in them, as far as the eye can see
|
You must see similar stuff every day.
The most overwhelming part of it is that you can't put it all in a picture, but it is so built up, wherever on the island you go. Actually that's not true - they've done a great job preserving green spaces, but where it is built up, it's built up like I've never seen before. |
This is on the Punggol light rail, which is at the city limits in the north east. It's a loop that is nearly continuously flanked by government housing blocks like these. I struggled to believe what I was seeing to be honest. I've never seen anything on this scale before, and definitely not at the edges of a city.
Basically, nobody else lives where I come from. There's me, buzzard and shallowed, and a few of our relatives and a handful of others and that's it. |

that's a really legoy looking city

We have friends who live in this condo near us, which is super lego-y. I can't really believe my eyes when I look at it. |
why are there no people in your photos? creepy
|
Yeah the lack of human life in sight is very strange.

this little cutie (little guy on the right) left us friday night after a whole week. he showed up last friday and we took him in to be checked for a chip the next day and he was also given some vaccinations. we mentioned to a girl who works at the vet that we didn't want to keep him (4 cats 2 much) and she said she and her fiance wanted a cat but couldn't pick him up for another week. within a few days he was part of our gang of cats and really switched up the dynamic, which is a good thing. karl and sheila (bro and sis) can be cliquish leaving leon with no one to play with unless karl is bored of sheila. this little dude was star of the group. so we basically fostered him and didn't have to spend a single second in a crate or cold shelter. |
