Cloud Nothings - Attack on Memory

dooooooooooooooooooope

vixnix 04-16-2012 08:17 AM

I tried but it's not my cup of tea.

Trotskilicious 04-16-2012 08:32 AM

smashingjj 04-16-2012 08:45 AM

the most ordinary, regular indie rock band i've ever heard! Quite an achievement.

Trotskilicious 04-16-2012 08:48 AM

oh you are a bastard you know

ghost-mutt 04-16-2012 09:42 AM

that album is so january 2012

ghost-mutt 04-16-2012 09:42 AM

and is awesome

Raskolnikov 04-16-2012 12:36 PM

Yeah, it is a pretty solid little album. For some reason, "Fall In" kinda bugs me and derails the flow of the album to that point, though. Feels just a tad too much like something late 90's that I would have loved then now but can't seem to do anymore. That said, really enjoy the rest of the album.

Saw them here in SLC recently with Mr. Dream (who's also a great up and comer) and really enjoyed it. Nice dudes in both bands.

Yeah it's great, been on my turntable the last couple weeks

no stop being paranoid

you were like "i tried it" which means to me "I listened to 30 seconds of one track and rejected it" so i posted the single which i happen to think is fantastic and you liked it

D. 04-17-2012 12:55 AM

Fucking love this band. Was gonna see them when they came to town but they dropped out at the last minute. Was rilly disappoint.

TuralyonW3 04-17-2012 01:06 AM

skip to 1:00, coll

TuralyonW3 04-17-2012 01:17 AM

their previous 2 albums are much more poppy and low fi...there are a few pleasant numbers, but this is obviously their "coming out" album as a band. As much as I enjoy attack on memory, their next album could be something really special as they develop...perhaps our generation's in utero

TuralyonW3 04-17-2012 01:20 AM

lol I'm in an "our generations" mood today

ghost-mutt 04-17-2012 08:37 AM

i think attack on memory is more likely to be "our generations" In Utero, considering Albini produced it.

smashingjj 04-17-2012 12:18 PM

you know there are more albums albini recorded in eh, our generation.

what does this mean

can it just be this generations cloud nothings

Gossamer 04-17-2012 09:43 PM

It's definitely not our generation's In Utero, that's silly.

Wasted Days might be my favorite or 2nd favorite song of 2012 though. That shit is incredible, and even better live.

The lead singer seems like a total prick though...he wanted us to wait like 20 minutes for an encore... like who he was.

I can't even imagine being a person who doesn't enjoy Cloud Nothings.

Yeah what D said. The vinyl is great.

Trotskilicious 04-19-2012 12:48 PM

i like how their pop songs, fall in and stay useless are after the first two decidedly not pop songs

especially wasted days

PkPhuoko 04-19-2012 04:14 PM

album of the year so far. Our Plans is amazing

MusicMan4 04-19-2012 08:36 PM
