1999-12-21 JBTV Complete

I found this the other day and I haven't seen anybody mentioning the full show being available. It is on livexlive and not terrible quality.

JBTV 1999 Full Show

PuzzledMuzzle 10-02-2018 07:01 AM

That Zero performance is so fucking metal

Funbags 10-02-2018 07:10 AM

Damn! Nice quality.

I thought this was gonna be an Arising show for a moment, but it's actually the second show ever with MADM.

Bat Strat Dude 10-02-2018 07:42 AM

It'd be cool to see that on the Machina box, when it comes out in 2038...

Too bad about Melissa's farty bass sound, though.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Jerry Bryant, the Emmy award winning host and owner of the iconic music program JBTV, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. Jerry has undergone two surgeries to remove tumors from both his colon and lung. Jerry’s doctors are very optimistic that they have removed all of the cancer and he will now begin a 6 month Chemotherapy treatment to make sure that he is clean. Jerry, who has been producing JBTV for over 35 years promoting new artists through their live performances and interviews is currently back at work doing what he loves and is dedicated to being a cancer survivor. This has been a life changing moment for Jerry and JBTV is now dedicating new programs including its yearly end of the year marathon to promote “Health and Cancer Awareness” to inform and help save lives of musicians and others like Jerry with little or no insurance to cover exams and get regular checkups. Because of his limited insurance coverage, large medical bills are building up and will continue as he wages his fight against his cancer. Several fundraising events are currently being put together and Jerry being Jerry is video documenting his fight against cancer and it will be incorporated into the documentary that is being produced on his amazing life and love of music and the musicians that create it. A website has been created to handle donations and document his fight against this disease.

Jerry wants everyone to know that although these obstacles are difficult and there's a lot of trials to come - he's committed more than ever to helping artists and exposing new music.
Legendary host Jerry Bryant’s iconic live music showcase, JBTV, has unveiled so many seminal musicians. Artists such as Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews Band, Twenty One Pilots and many more received their first television exposure on JBTV.

Thanks for the tip. One of my favorite pro-shot shows.

Corgan's Bluff 10-02-2018 05:57 PM

This show is terrible. Melissa sucked. Also the new arrangements on several older songs.

Shallowed 10-02-2018 06:38 PM

If anyone could rip this show that would be great. Nice to see the Pale Scales and CTOM performances from this gig.

Great lead indeed - very interesting little window for the band there.

-Indeed, that Zero is awesome. Hadn't heard that before.

-Very cool To Sheila, like that epic one from Europe in 2000

-Love the Ava Adore tandem solo at 39:39 where BC motions to James and they play in sync, then the little grins from each of them knowing that they just nailed it... one of the few times where you can see that those dudes even then still had some degree of friendship, even though we now know just how rough it was in the band then.

Ram27 10-03-2018 07:32 AM

jesus christ that bass

Shallowed 10-03-2018 07:36 AM

Would someone please torrent this? The internet connection at my new place is spotty as fuck and the download died on me halfway through.

First glimpse of a crowd looking totally bored with the band, it was definitely time to break up.

jimmy drevpile 10-03-2018 05:00 PM

Nice!

Corgan's Bluff 10-03-2018 06:54 PM

The Metro Concert from 1993 recorded by JBTV is also on this channel.
The DVD version from the Siamese Dream deLuxe set doesn't have the intro speech.
Might be interesting, if there are other differences. In editing, sound and pictures...:

TuralyonW3 10-03-2018 07:02 PM

Show kinda sucks dick to be honest

Shiny shows are better than 2000 shows (other than the "go for broke" stuff like United Center and Metro, obviously)

paranoid 10-04-2018 09:02 AM

Show is great, imo. Audience seems into it from what I can see.

Best version of crying tree. It’s beautiful, this is the version that should have been recorded and on the album. It’s have been a classic.

The following "Survivor" joke was worth the little of an introduction speech... :D

SPLATTER 10-04-2018 02:29 PM

why does he insult the audience from the night before?

Pizza Club 10-04-2018 02:51 PM

This is awesome, thanks!

JBTV kept taking down the songs they had up from Youtube

houseofglass11 10-04-2018 03:00 PM

The alt version of To Sheila is pretty wack tbh

I wondered the same thing..listening to that gig on the archive it sounds like they had a good time and thanked the crowd for waiting out in the cold since 7am that morning to get in.

Gotta love Pale Scales..To Sheila, and even Dusty & Pete sounded good. This is basically the next best soundboard version we have now of those versions aside from 1/24/00

Hopefully someone will do a proper audio rip and toss it up on the Zomb soon

Raskolnikov 11-20-2018 03:21 AM

Bumping this thread because while yeah - BASS - this show is pretty great.

"Wound" in particular is what forced me to wade back through the old threads to drudge this thing up. Favorite Machina era song, done RIGHT here.

paranoid 11-20-2018 03:24 AM

I’ve been meh about Melissa’s bass but I think she sounds great here.
