you see how Johnny Depp and Tim Burton came under a curse when they collaborated on a revision of Gene WIlder's GOAT performance as Willy Wonka. They deserve the hate, they made their choice. Should of known, better.

But yeah, Wonka is the best.

I know everyone hates johnny depp cause he's a woman-beater

I think people just dislike Burton because he hasn't made a good movie since the '90s.

I think his last good one was Big Fish, maybe. He's kind of vanished off the face of the earth these days. Hope he's taking a long break and reorienting himself.

i was actually gonna mention that one earlier, but the last time i've seen it was like, a decade ago so wasn't sure if i was just "misremembering" my joy 4 it

I did not care for Sweeney Todd but I do love Big Fish, which I think came out in about 2003

I couldn't really tell you what he has done in the last ten years though.

sweeny todd was the last thing he did that i liked

i saw dark shadows, with depp, which sucked. it also had sickboy from trainspotting so i thought it might be good. it wasn't.

Does Burton just exclusively do remakes and adaptations now?

I've always wondered if Gene Wilder fans regard Willy Wonka as the 1979 of his catalogue.

In that analogy, I'd only like 1979 for the nostalgia and would be ignorant to the massive catalog. The worst?
