How do you degenerates feel about Tosh?

Tosh is fucking great and I love his show. However he makes some pretty sexist/racist jokes on a consistent basis, which is kind of bothersome on some level. I still laugh though because it's hilarious and I'm more concerned with institutional oppression of women and minorities than what a comedian has to say.

Then there's his sexuality, I always assumed he was straight and just acted gay for laughs (anybody know for sure?). In any case it's great that he shows how it's cool to be comfortable enough with your sexuality to do gay stuff. I think the teenage male demographic will perhaps gain some open-mindedness toward sexual orientation because of Tosh (maybe).


I guess mainly I am interested in what women and gay dudes think about Tosh - is he offensive? funny? lame?



tl;dr - I would have sex with Daniel Tosh.

i think his show sucks but i've heard some bits on the radio that were clever

like "what if aliens visited, wouldn't you kind of feel ashamed of yourselves?"

i don't find his gay jokes offensive (because generally they aren't even trying to be... they're just making fun of him), but i cringe at his sexist/racist jokes. most of the time.

he can be funny.

nick dipaulo, lisa lamenelli and carlos mencia are all a significant degree worse with their "edgy racial humor"

i'd also like to point out that this comedy station i've been listening to on the radio plays larry the cable guy and i feel almost like he's one of the decades greatest satirists because these people think he's championing their lifestyle when he's actually mocking it.

humor is funny like that.

Lisa Lampanelli is the absolute WORST, but I love me some Daniel Tosh.

I don't believe I have ever heard any of his stuff....the name doesn't sound familiar at all.

Tosh usually makes me laugh out loud at least once per show.

i haven't seen his show but i saw a clip where he made fun of soccer so now i don't like him

yeah that also upsets me

it annoys me most when baseball fans like jim rome make fun of soccer for being boring

hello baseball fans your favorite sport is 10 minutes of action spread out over 3 hours

i also find it generally to be bad practice for comedians to laugh at their own jokes.

but what if its really really funny?

a straight face is one of the most valuable comedic tools imo

i heard this one guy that was hysterical because he was just completely flat deadpan the entire time

it wasn't like steven wright, i kind of feel like this guy was probably a hipster comic because he wrote haiku pick up lines and the completely flat ironic delivery just made me think he was younger

i dunno

bill hader throws a wrench in this theory

if it happens every time then yeah you suck, but his seem so genuine and are so warranted that it's just really endearing.

you guys remember that show Make Me Laugh on Comedy Central like 14 years ago?

It was actually a pretty good premise for a show. And I'd watch it if it came on again.

i actually like it when eddie izzard starts laughing during dress to kill and he goes "I'm sorry I'm just laughing because you laughed."

this guy has the worst fucking delivery. I feel like his jokes wouldn't even be offensive if his delivery wasn't so bad
