You guys ever feel that some Zwan songs felt too long? I enjoyed the album but I always felt like the obvious "pop" songs on the record overstayed their welcome, like Settle Down, El Sol, Ride A Black Swan, Endless Summer. Not long in track length (or girth, lel) but just general vibe of the song, like Ride A Black Swan could've done without that last build up into yet another chorus.

Always made a full album listen a bit too fatiguing.

both great songs, but I especially love Friends as Lovers.

Gossamer would have been the best song on Zeitgeist if it would have appeared..

The Shining Path would have been the best song on a Swan album if it had appeared.

This is the real story of the band. Every studio album since well... arguably Adore/Machina, has been compromised by production & direction.

How the lead singer's ego led him to sabotage his own talent and commercial potential for 20 straight years.

if he hasn't killed that off for you by this point i'm truly afraid of the type of investments, emotional or otherwise, some of you may end up making in the future

Look at that shit-eating grin Corgan gets when the crowd goes nuts when he starts singing "Chrysanthemum". That was the moment it ceased to be a band and became another group with Billy calling the shots. (Not to belittle the fact that the crowd's scream really is a great moment).
