Pet Shop Boys - Where the Streets Have No Name (Can't Take My Eyes Off of You)

Literally just heard this for the first time today. Pretty sure this is the first time I've knowingly heard a Pet Shop Boys song.

I'm a fan of this song.

PC? Peter Criss?

Kahlo 01-28-2017 02:15 PM

Yes. The best.

FoolofaTook 01-29-2017 07:12 AM

I thought he meant Pomp and Circumstance from the crtically acclaimed album Zeitgeist.

Well I don't even need to say that do I. I mean...that is one of the greatest albums of the last decade if not THE greatest.

Kahlo 02-02-2017 07:49 PM

OH YOU KNOW I DO.

IS HE DEAD YET?

there is a reason he didn't die in 2016 btw.

D. 02-03-2017 09:30 PM

WHAT'S THE REASON

Kahlo 02-04-2017 05:03 AM

ONLY THE GREATS DIED IN 2016

D. 02-04-2017 05:20 AM

I LISTENED TO MULTIPLE PC-ERA GENESIS ALBUMS TODAY ON MY IPOD AT WORK TODAY

D. 02-04-2017 05:22 AM

FAVORITES (IN ORDER OF BEST 2 WORST)

...And Then There Were Three...
Wind and Wuthering
A Trick of the Tail
Genesis
Invisible Touch
Duke
Abacab
We Can't Dance

Mals Marola 03-19-2019 12:11 PM

& how 'bout them Boys?

Mals Marola 03-19-2019 12:12 PM

i never really got into them up 'til now, but spinning Actually today, it truly hits the spot!

Only track i'm not crazy about so far is "It Couldn't Happen Here," which isn't bad just the only one i'd call dated versus "charmingly 80s"

D. 03-19-2019 03:12 PM

i can't stand PSB but damn this song is still a bop

Domino Dancing is GOAT PSB. Being Boring too.

Dvd check out more of their discography you'll LOVE.

Mals Marola 03-25-2019 02:43 PM

yeah i love BB
recently listened to Behaviour for the first time & really liked it despite the relatively muted approach compared to the earlier stuff
from what i've heard, Very is like the opposite of that, so that should be fun

Mals Marola 03-25-2019 02:49 PM

this song's quite tite

Shadaloo 03-25-2019 04:18 PM

Very is the only PSB album I'm incredibly familiar with because it was one of the first cassette tapes I owned, when "Go West" was a single and I was hooked on MuchMusic. Loud, flashy, showy, lots of fun. I basically moved into rock music after that and never really got around to exploring the rest of the discography, though I meant to for years. Should be interesting now that a lot of 80's bands are my jams these days.

Mals Marola 03-25-2019 08:57 PM

I actually haven't really loved the singles i've heard from Very so far (namely Go West) but i'm still eager to continue this chronologic quest w/ the boys

Shadaloo you should work backward from there

Shadaloo 03-26-2019 02:58 PM

Me and the missus spent an hour watching PSB videos yesterday. Ian Mackellan in the Heart video as Dracula: Priceless.
