A Green Chile slice (got to do it in CO) and a Grandma slice at Slice Works in Denver.

ohnoitsbonnie 08-26-2017 05:46 PM

I am going to make pizza with roasted fennel tomorrow

MplsTaper 08-26-2017 05:49 PM

A pepperoni and a gyro at Ian's Pizza in Denver. Good but they forgot them in the oven so they were pretty crunchy and a little dry. Full disclosure: Slice Works was Thursday afternoon and Ian's was late last night.

nope I love crispy things. overly soft pizza is a bummer

ohnoitsbonnie 08-27-2017 12:23 AM

Crispy cheese?

ohnoitsbonnie 08-27-2017 12:25 AM

I got some fennel for pizza tomorrow. I love fennel/anise so so so much. Also a very dry salsiccia. I will probably pick up soem wine too because it seems like cheap beer won't go with a pizza I actually put some effort into

ohnoitsbonnie 08-27-2017 12:28 AM

Also. I was sent a blue apron coupon so while I go back to school we'll be doing some of that. Not really me but for mike because he's not imaginative with food even though he knows the steps. I don't really follow recipes. All my cooking, even (and especially so) pizza making is intuitive and based on recognization. To each their own

So he'll be making dinner on Mondays, Wednesdays, and fridays while I work later than he will. The other days I have class and will need to do work but it'll be ok.

ohnoitsbonnie 08-27-2017 12:29 AM

yo soy el mejor 08-27-2017 11:50 AM

slunken 08-27-2017 01:46 PM

ohnoitsbonnie 08-27-2017 02:06 PM

Making some roasts peppers and fennel for pizza tonight. Dough is out on the counter. It doubled in size overnight in the fridge and looks good and elastic. Um also I mildly burned the tomatoes lol I always do this

It only took a few minutes of trying on a laptop but I figured out how to resize pics. So, here's my 'za from today:

deep dish (difficult to discern from the angle) tomato pie

the crusted bits are where i added hot italian sausage. the different method I tried this time was raising the oven rack above the center in order for the homemade crust to be softer. it gets better each time. fun to experiment with.

ohnoitsbonnie 08-27-2017 06:13 PM

I'm no luke, but here's my try! It has the afforementioned salsiccia, roasted fennel, and bell peppers. The sauce is San marzano tomatoes that have been cooked down. The cheese is grocery store low moisture mozzarella. The best part is the crust. I don't like the cheese too much.

Mike brought home wine and fresh basil :)

ohnoitsbonnie 08-27-2017 06:27 PM

Also if anyone hasn't figured out yet, I resize pics to not be obnoxious by doing screenshots of the original pics. I exclusively post from my phone. Very tech illiterate here.
