Michael Cera is playing Nick Twisp in an adaptation of my favorite novel
Youth In Revolt (2009)
seeing as it's a 500 page book and I've loved it for 8 years now (10 by the time the movie comes out), the movie is going to dissapoint. but michael cera may actually be the perfect choice for the protagonist of the story. |
Gold.

Is he in everything now?

I love that book too. I read it when I was about 14, and then again a couple years ago. Made me laugh out loud constantly. I find it hard to believe they could adapt it very well, but I'll definitely see it.

they also have two continuation books that are even lesser known. it'd be weird if YIR did super good and they did YIR II and III

cera only plays awkward teens, is the protagonist an awkward teen?

And that description makes it sound really stupid, it's actually very funny. Actually that description isn't even accurate; his parents are already divorced when the book starts. I have a feeling they are going to change it a lot. |

ill watch it |
Michael Moore should play Dwayne.

^ lol ^
and they'd better not fuck up who is playing sheeni saunders |
I really don't see how they can't fuck it up. The character development is so involved, and there are so many events in the books, how do they decide what to cut out? I guess that's why I'm not a screenwriter/directer/etc. Still, I'd be impressed if this doesn't completely suck.
