Remember when Billy said thanks to Rush and Greatful Dead?

A few months before Zeitgeist.

What was the deal with that? Did he ever elaborate?

psychadelic spin/take-off point. One of the two.

He's not so bad now. One of those singers that sounds better with age.
I wish Rush knew Australia existed :(

where at? i saw them in Birmingham UK last year. they played a long set - most of Moving Pictures / A Farewell to Kings / Permanent Waves. a great show.

even the new album rocked pretty good in a live setting.

Billy and Jimmy got baked out of their gourds. Then listened to the Dead, and to get back into the mood, Rush.

It's obvious they were fried. That's all.

they finally came back to canada. i'm seeing them in winnipeg, manitoba. i've been casually browsing their setlists it looks like they're keeping the setlist relativly the same drawing most songs from moving pictures and permanent waves. i'd kill for them to bust out working man though.

Azael 05-23-2008 03:46 AM

I don't know about Tom Sawyer, but they've covered Limelight as well.

aztec litany service 05-23-2008 04:17 AM

cool. they were alternating distant early warning with some cover on last year's tour - we got DEW :)

they played something approaching 30 songs, so hopefully you should get something similar. post how the show was anyhow.
