LaBelle 02-09-2015 06:13 PM

I got free tickets to see the pumpkins at lollapalooza.

I'm not going.

pavementtune 02-10-2015 11:59 AM

which lolla?
your loss, though. the current line-up sounds damn good. at times even better than the 2007 line-up. (yes, despite JC.)

March 29, São Paulo

LaBelle 02-11-2015 09:04 PM

Saw them live in 2010 and it was a miserable experience. Don't really want to live it again.

Anxious to hear what the new (old) songs sound like with All-Star Smashing Pumpkins.

BloodyCape 02-21-2015 07:01 PM

1979 wasn't played in Melbourne. Techs had guitars in hand for the switch but they'd already hit the 10pm finish time.

iPumpkin 02-22-2015 11:22 AM

SP played the first show in months and this is the thread? Wow.

not really weird, they just recycled half of the last festival setlist (summer 2013)

Tonight, Tonight
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Cherub Rock
Pale Horse
Stand Inside Your Love
United States

and United States probably works better for Wilk's RATM drumming stlye than more subtile songs

LaBelle 02-25-2015 09:19 AM

Not being able to convey tone really ruined my comment.
I meant "weird" in a dismissive way

reprise85 02-25-2015 08:01 PM

surrounding himself with a real killer even

New Art Rioter 02-28-2015 08:27 AM

Anyone spotted footage of acoustic Obscured? I'd like to see that

likely there isn't any. apparently Soundwave messed up and didn't tell the pre-set winners where they had to go in time, so Corgan waited and dragged it out to 45 mintues.
according to someone who was there, nobody wanted to record the beginning since it was too intimate.
Obscured was played by request for one of the 3? people who made it there early.

Araneae 02-28-2015 11:48 PM

Shame that Crush was only a tease, it would be great to hear that one again. That looks like a nice little acoustic setlist.
