Jellybelly is up. This was my like 4th take and at that point my arms were too tired to do those fast fills. I also need to fix how it doesn't count the percentage during the drum solo.

reprise85 07-31-2015 10:50 PM

this is really something

DemonUnicorns 07-31-2015 11:35 PM

Yes, the chart itself (which are the notes and stuff) is a .midi file. If you have a rock band that you know can play this file, then I could send it to you. Otherwise, the Disc 2 that I'm making has Jellybelly on it, which will be PlayStation 2 game in a .iso file. I could send you that and you can burn it on to a DVD with a computer. The DVD you burn will work with any PlayStation 2 that is modded or that can play Swap Magic.

oh my god i didn't know you were actually playing them i thought it was just an autocomplete thing to show off the chart

that's cool

There was this cool interview that I can't find now about how Jimmy was killing himself while recording MCIS trying to get a perfect take on Jellybelly, and the last take, the one they used on the album, he only make like 3 mistakes and he figured that was as good as it could get

DemonUnicorns 08-01-2015 12:16 AM

Yeah I've been a fan of all those guitar hero/rock band games, so I've played it a whole ton. For the videos I just muted the recording's volume and replaced it with the original music track.

DemonUnicorns 08-01-2015 12:40 AM

Ok, I could send you the file if you like.

SlingeroGuitaro 08-01-2015 01:37 AM

I will get it posted tomorrow.

Butt Pope 08-02-2015 05:41 AM

I like Mario games

DemonUnicorns 08-02-2015 03:26 PM

Jellybelly guitar is posted.

Shallowed 08-02-2015 07:48 PM

I think Jellybelly is missing a lot of kick drum notes, solid effort nonetheless.

I beg to differ. Granted, MCIS is not as polished and easy to decipher as SD due to the production, so therefore I may have missed a couple; however, I have listened to the full song at half speed 5 or 6 times at the very least. I also have pretty good headphones. So again, I may have missed a couple, but I don't I missed a lot.

slayed23 08-02-2015 08:54 PM

Will there be a way to see these charts online? I don't have a PS2 but it would be cool to see the song anyway.

DemonUnicorns 08-02-2015 09:02 PM

That's why I'm doing the videos.

You mean you want to see the chart opened in a midi program?

Here's Jellybelly's drum solo
Image and video hosting by TinyPic

My bad, I should have specified. I mean, are these going to be on youtube?

slayed23 08-02-2015 09:34 PM

Dailymotion. I see, you edited the first message.

Jellybelly is pretty tough on guitar. It always kinda upset me when they had some of their easier songs on guitar hero / rock band like Today, 1979, etc. I knew why they did it, but it would have been nice to have a song like this on their playlist.

Ram27 08-02-2015 09:55 PM

^ same for the drums

I mean I suck at rockband so I don't really give a shit about playing it but imagine hearing the isolated tracks for Jellybelly or Geek or Silverfuck

at least they had Everlasting Gaze

Siva was cool too

Yeah Jellybelly, unlike all those you mentioned, has very fast chord changes. Plus some of these SD songs have killer solos. Should be fun to chart.

DemonUnicorns 08-02-2015 10:00 PM

Yeah with the isolated tracks that we have, it's always nice to hear all those ghost snares Jimmy plays.

Ram27 08-02-2015 10:11 PM

It's really cool too how sometimes you can hear the melody of the song in his crashes

Like during the chorus of Cherub Rock or the solo of BWBW

DemonUnicorns 08-02-2015 11:09 PM

Yeah that's Jimmy for you. Plus in Siva you can hear someone (idk Vig maybe) get all excited when Jimmy kicks it up after a quiet part.

Shallowed 08-03-2015 12:10 AM

I once tried transcribing out all the parts to Pastichio Medley in Guitar Pro 5. I only got about as far as Star Song before I gave up. I can't remember if I still have the file around, but you can work on it if you want to, and if I can find it.
