i bought the red vinyl from insound that came with the red pork and beans seven inch. and know i hear they're putting the deluxe out on vinyl. motherfuckers!

an upload for no particular reason. Weezer doing I Don't Know How To Love Her from Jesus Christ Superstar. reminds me of Devotion/Waiting On You.

Any chance you might be able to re-upload all the bonus tracks behind one link in case the previous ones expire/expired?

I'm still diggin' the album. Thought I Knew is a bit crap though, still.

fluxequalsrad 06-07-2008 01:08 PM

holy shit this pisses me off. this song is so much fucking fun.

and yeah island in the sun was different than anything weezer had done but it was still fine, lets not get overdramatic and act like it's some sort of death nail. the green album was a step down but its not what made me ignore weezer. the two albums that came afterward is what did the trick. island is the sun is still a good song.

took another listen just for you

i agree, it is a very fun song - sounds very pavement like, which i love. just the guitar work is kinda meh. but it's better than i remember.

Anyone notice the lyrical mistake in Heart Songs??

No it's not. Listen to the 'hootenany' version. It's very charming.

Do you mean the part where it seems like he confuses Debbie Gibson and Tiffany? I don't know if that was really a mistake. Each line of the song in that part was referring to a single artist/song, so I think he was meaning to make reference to both of them.

ill settle for this

i think i liked pork and beans only because it reminded me of an inferior el scorcho.

it was an actual mistake, but once rivers realized it he decided to keep the line as it was. i think this was revealed in a spin article.
