I didnt begin to fall in love this song till seen this outro in this clip OMFG teh feeeeeelins |
Love the tender threads of painful melody that "joshua as dad" have brought to modern qotsa
If only more beloved artists from the fuzzrock 90s could evolve so gracefully...... |
tbqf although olive kyuss, and sometimes nothing else will satisfy like a trip thru the blues of the sun that's red, ultimately, the camo pants + scrotey vokes + lack of variety in guitar tones place them a notch below qotsa in my estimation
|
Their both ok to me.
But I prefer SLEEP/OM. |
First it giveth is amazing tho

What did u think of them crooked vultures run2pee?

I love that the only fan of this thread is not appreciating anything just seeing little boxes with question marks

|
I saw Queens with Dave Grohl. Good times!

i suppose it's not for everyone. it's no easy listening at the very least. if you get through that stage though, let's call it that, this is a very melancholy and beautiful song. something else, really. |
Yes I know Khanate. I am, after all, a tenth generation Stephen O'Malley clone.
It's a bit too abstract for me. I feel the same way about most sunn. I think you need to be super fucked up or insane to listen to that stuff. |
Run2pee I can see embedded vids and some pics. but most pics are lost on me alas I have almost forgotten what labelle looks like!!

Loudest live band I've ever heard was QOTSA at the Roxy opening for the Pumpkins. Easily clipped 120dbs. Pumpkins came in around 110-115 or so, plenty loud enough and sounded a bit better tone wise. Ridiculous show overall from both bands that night.

Kyuss is Boss. That singer was a throwback to 70's AOR days. great, great band. |

that's on point there. i would say Kyuss has several more epic songs however in the no shame 'this is an epic song, so listen' variety and pulling it off. |
I always preferred Kyuss, myself.
It took me a while to get past hearing the first part of Demon Cleaner as I Am One in an only somewhat alternate reality, but I made it and the rest is history. P.S. I saw the Josh Homme appearance on Toast of London within hours of reading this thread and wondered if it was a sign from Run To Me to me. It's only an okay show, though, so don't take this mention as a recommendation. |

Friekin ears had never before or since experienced such supreme pain and anguish on that level, wasn't wearing protection at that time in my life unfortunately |
I love if only.
he can really write a catchy rock song. |
Hey run too pee when i saw boris i was on dxm. halfway thru the show i took (wallala!) out my earplugs to better recieve the sonic blasts.
was partially deaf for a month. |
How is it that the 340th iteration of this bands lineup is as good as any that's ever been; how is it that josh keeps becoming a better singer and tighter guitarist the OLDER AND DRUNKER HE GETS ITS A FUCKEN MIRACLEMYSTERY
|
hands up if u got as mad chills off oliveris resurrection as that tiem james sung to mayo w/bill on the plainsong
