Industrial Tribute
Has anyone ever seen this before? lol
https://www.screencast.com/t/J4s3SNZrjci I searched the forum and I haven't seen anything about it |
I was very much into industrial rock throughout my college years, huge fan of KMFDM and Pig (Raymond Watts), so I picked up basically everything they appeared on, including that.
Ray's cover of 1979 is without question the only good or remotely interesting thing on the whole disc to my ears and even that much is up for debate according to those I've forced to give it a listen. I could only get through the whole thing once. The electric Hellfire Club version of God is hilarious. It's like a bunch of cavemen discovered a room full of instruments and a TAFH box and threw each other into the instruments until they managed to make sounds like the original. |
When dude started singing Rhinoceros I laughed out loud. It was so funny. I love a lot of the beginnings, but the moment they sing a single cord it all goes way down hill lol

Ugh, the 90s

smashing pumpkins covers are always going to be a fail because corganz voice is essential to the songs, and without it the songs aren't the same.
that's my take as an SP fan maybe people that hate billy and his whine might see it as a way to save a good song. |
Lorde could cover Today, bur that's about it.
|
This is on a long list of things I regret purchasing, simply because the words "Smashing Pumpkins" were included.
