track of the day

the songs you can't get out of your head for hours or even days, no matter if you acutally like them or not. they stay.
hours after you heard them they just pop up in your head, unasked. when you wait in line at the grocery store. while brushing your teeth. Lykke Li - No Rest for the Wicked |
I was thinking of starting an earworm thread recently because i had Spandau Ballet's Gold in my head for two weeks and i think it's a cheesy song that i don't really like but it was always going "Gold! Always believe in your soul" in my head.
the one currently in my head for a few days is this rather big shameless joy division ripoff: i feel if you're gonna ripoff JD that blatanty that's at least the way to do it. |

For some stupid reason i clicked play on this. I repunished myself. Hopefully i got it out of my system last time though.
I like that the mid video still is my favorite bit where he points at the camera and goes "gold". Such a cheeseball. Now I wish i still had people to karaoke with so i could impose that on them. |
Do you have this earworm thing with instrumental/electronical tracks, too?
It's a mood setting sort of background theme (somewhat a faint real life soundtrack) I keep remembering, and then I get annoyed that it's all mushy and have to listen to it again. Had this now for two weeks. It's a great track and album, though, so I don't mind having to play it again and again. THE SWIMMER - Phil France |

I have been seriously hooked on this record lately, in a can't-listen-to-anything-else way where I can't even work on my own music cause i'm just caught up on this.
|
^ I like that.
hooked on Parov Stelar today. I should go dancing to get it out of my system. |

I dont generally listen to jw's recent music, but I like this cover a lot. I miss these kind of vocals |
this band is probably in my top 10 these days. nothing remotely emo/hardcore would sit beside them
