new electronic music: Fischerspooner / Purity Ring

Fischerspooner have a new album coming out next year. And they have been dropping some singles recently. One that I've heard is called Togetherness. It's pretty good.

Purity Ring have a new single out as well called Asido.

I literally have not thought about Fisherspooner since they were on some "bands to watch" compilation CD that came stuck to one of the two issues of Rolling Stone Australia i bought back in 2002 when I briefly thought Rolling Stone was worth buying. I'm trying to think who else was on there... Spoon i think maybe? Gerling for sure. The Hives or The Vines, one of those "The X" bands RS was big on pushing back then

Holy shit this is good music. I'm listening to more shoegaze haha. French, mainly.

15 years ago I was all about Fischerspooner, Ladytron, Miss Kittin and the Hacker, and Zoot Woman. Great stuff. I have both of Fischerspooner's first two albums.
