Why everyone hate on staind
One of my strongest childhood memories is my dad enthusiastically explaining to me the nuances of the lyrics to It's Been A While completely uninvited when it came on in his truck
My dad did that to me but it was snakeskin cowboys by ted nugent
you remind me of my brother's childhood friend, freddy, sometimes.
the way my father explained it was that the song is pointing out the differences between real rural cowboys and urban cowboys who are into the fashion and nothing more. if anyone has ever owned a pair of snakeskin boots knows that they're not very functional at all. it doesn't take much wear or damage for the snakeskin to completely go to shit and start ripping and tearing and falling apart.
hence why the boots are specifically for fancy dress-up. Quote:

My Bloody Valentine - Never Say Goodbye (Strawberry Wine EP)
I can't stop listening to this. Kevin and Bilinda singing together is so sweet. It makes it even better to know that they were in love at the time. |

^ love that song/band

haven't listened to them much lately, but I just got to see a "The Holy Bible 20th anniversary gig" - fantastic, I didn't expect it to be so good.
Others did, I guess. when I came by the venue on the morning before the gig, a bunch of folks were camping outside. |
damn, nice
last time i listened to 'em was a coupla days ago puttin in gold against the soul before i ever heard that one every msp fan i'd talked to in some regard basically told me not to bother, but it's got some obvious classics (roses in the hospital? top 20 at least.) and man, there's like a full album's-worth of b-sides from practically every era other than thb (guess they really didn't pull any punches for that one) my username on here actually comes from a misheard lyric from this song... theoretical bonus points if you can guess what it is, lol. |
my friend and i like to secretly film each other dancing to songs and this has been our main jam lately
i listen to more than one song a day. tonight i've listened to this five times. i first heard or noticed it in my friend drew's car and now it reminds me of him. but it's also sad and makes me almost cry every time.
