looks like it was bioelectrically engineered by reptilian overlords.

This is a bromeliad called Aechmea fasciata. It's an ugly mall plant. Ugly because it is found in malls. Within the rainforest it would be gorgeous. I guess it does look fasciated, even though I think that's just its typical form

I promise it isn't but lavender is among the same family: Lamiaceae

The Volunteer today at the Soup Kitchen is an old fanily friend a French Prof. who also has a lavender farm not far from Whitman Mission. Whenever he sees me in line he gets this pensive look bordering on disapprobation..

There are a handfull of lavender farms in NJ IF U CAN EVEN BELIEVE. Not the greatest climate for Lavendula
