you're betting your own money and clearly under no obligation to share anything. so sharing is either altruism, desire for validation, or something i'm missing..

if your strategy is working for you, the winnings should be all the validation you'd need (and as you point out, sharing a successful, repeatable formula would decrease earnings possible for those that know it, and piss off those who helped you develop/learn it)

and if it weren't reliably working in the long run, why prove that? if you were receiving feedback from seasoned and accomplished pros that you incorporate into refining the strategy, that would be one thing, but that's not the case here

just not understanding the premise of this thread

Basically I've made some nice money during the NFL and NBA seasons the past few years and come in and share picks when I think they have a high probability of winning.

I cleaned up in pre-season football last year, so I thought I was onto something, but this year the results couldn't be any different. It is what it is.

It's all a learning experience that I'll take note of and I'll use the experience for next year.

I wanna know what nice money is

ohnoitsbonnie 08-22-2017 09:12 PM

I have more than a grand in my checking account. No student loan to date. I'm a millennial millionaire!

For the last NFL season alone I netted about 4 G's and I made in total just under 3K the last NBA season.

Not mind blowing numbers, but I know my knowledge is better than my results. Sometimes I just like action or make some newb mistakes. I'm still trying to master the craft.

To be fair, if I'm being honest, I've only about broke even with baseball this season.

fuzzyroes 08-22-2017 09:20 PM

Keep in mind that I didn't pay a penny of taxes on those figures.

ohnoitsbonnie 08-22-2017 09:21 PM

bonnie hi i like you it's just that your behavior is sometimes disconcerting

Bread Regal 08-22-2017 11:26 PM

my partner loves your rats. she chaperoned a lot of rats until shortly after we started dating. i liked them but their cages get smelly fast if you're depressed.

when we open a therapeutic farm we're definitely gonna have a rat room

Bread Regal 08-22-2017 11:29 PM

in fact she met some therapy rats a few weeks ago. they are especially helpful with juvenile offenders who see themselves in the rats: society thinks they are nasty and mean but the reality is they can be as sweet and caring and affectionate as a big ol doe eyed pupper

ohnoitsbonnie 08-23-2017 06:55 AM

Thanks, that means a lot. I never considered that about the rats. They're extremely misunderstood as pets. Really glad that someone appreciates them and doesn't even have them: that's the sign of a v good person in my eyes

ferret cages smell the worst even if you just cleaned it that day. they have some strong peepee, i guess.

i am waiting for the day i get my own bedroom and can have two sweet baby rats; i've convinced tim it would be cool if we had our own bedrooms. i bet i could convince my cats that a ferret is a funny looking cat, but i'd rather have rats. or guinea pigs.

rodents are so loving, smart, funny, and endearing.

redbreegull 08-23-2017 03:51 PM

has it ever occurred to anyone that ferrets are just weasels with better PR?

ohnoitsbonnie 08-23-2017 03:54 PM

They can be both
