This was a huge bummer. I had tickets to see him next week. I literally finished listening to album last night, got on FB, and the first thing that came up was a story about how he was dead. :(

crushing, devastating. a huge part of my musical life. let's hope he has finally found peace through death.

I too had a ticket to see him next week. the first show was supposed to be tonight, and it was going to be a surprise show.

purple mountains is an excellent album, but almost too sad to listen to. it's his elaborate suicide note.
