how can keyboards be out of tune?

Grox 08-20-2017 05:42 PM

i have no idea. maybe they were using midi and it fucked up. idk. i found this show on SPLRA a while ago.

Maybe the keyboard operator was out of tune.

Bread Regal 08-20-2017 08:55 PM

if the sample rate is incorrectly set on the the midi module (44.1k vs 48k) that will make it out of tune

Bread Regal 08-20-2017 08:56 PM

this is a great example of this

If you read the comments, it wasn't actually keyboards but a recording playback of the synth parts set at the wrong sample rate. But it actually seems like the guitars is out of tune and not the synths. A comment said a guitar tech gave the wrong out of tune guitar to him.

The synths are out of tune compared to the studio recording

Bread Regal 08-21-2017 02:59 PM

The tempo also doesn't sound noticeably different. I would guess it's a midi module with the wrong sample rate.
